Supporting Everyone. From Day One.Published: 6 Oct 2020
We are delighted to announce that our charity place applications are open for the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon. As part of our 'Everyone. From day one' campaign, we are looking to create the largest Virgin Money London Marathon team ever and raise in excess of £3.65 million. This will fund our vital work and help us reach our goal of supporting everyone with cancer from the day of diagnosis. Right now we can only reach one in four.
Running for Macmillan is running for everyone
Cancer affects everyone one way or another, so we all need to come together to help each other through. Running for Macmillan means you will be helping us provide the practical, emotional and financial support that makes such a huge difference to people with cancer. Specifically, the money you raise will fund the expansion of our Support Line. It will also help us train up to 80,000 cancer professionals, enabling us to reach more and more people right when they need help most.
Join us today
With your support, we hope to create something truly special and make a lasting difference in people’s lives. To join us, submit your application and we’ll get in touch if you’re successful. Please give us lots of details in your application — we want to hear about your connection to Macmillan, why you want to take on this great challenge and how you’ll smash your fundraising target.
What you need to know
All successful applicants need to pay a £100 registration fee and you will have two weeks to complete your registration. If we don’t hear from you by then, we will release your place to a fellow Macmillan Cancer Support supporter. We ask that all charity places raise a minimum of £2620 towards our 'Everyone. From Day One' campaign.
Our application process will remain open until we have a full team. If you’re not successful at first we’ll add you to our waiting list, so you’re still in with a chance.
All clear? Great stuff! So go get that green Macmillan running shirt and submit your application today.
